The Stern College Dramatics Society returns to the Schottenstein Theater stage this December with D.W. Gregory’s Radium Girls. Based on a true story, the play is set in New Jersey in the early 20th century, when radium was at the forefront of medical innovation. The play follows a group of female factory painters who use radium paint to provide watches with a luminous green glow. When some fall mysteriously ill, one young woman decides to lead the search for justice. Could it be that the so-called “miracle cure” is actually the cause of their health’s rapid decline?
