ABOUT ABOUT

The Stern College Dramatics Society returns to the Schottenstein Theater stage this December with D.W. Gregory’s Radium Girls. Based on a true story, the play is set in New Jersey in the early 20th century, when radium was at the forefront of medical innovation. The play follows a group of female factory painters who use radium paint to provide watches with a luminous green glow. When some fall mysteriously ill, one young woman decides to lead the search for justice. Could it be that the so-called “miracle cure” is actually the cause of their health’s rapid decline? And did the company men know all along? This riveting production of Radium Girls is sure to touch emotional chords while exploring the interplay between science and business, and the choices that can change lives forever.
